A team from Baines Wilson will spend a night under the stars to raise money for Cumbria Community Foundation’s Winter Warmth Appeal.
Cumbria Community Foundation organises The Big Sleep to help raise money to keep older Cumbrians warm in the winter. Each year the charity raises around £100,000 through the Winter Warmth Appeal and The Big Sleep raises around a quarter of this amount in one night.
The concept of The Big Sleep is for hundreds of people to spend a night under canvas in the winter to highlight how difficult it is to keep warm in the winter months. The event is held during the winter months in a field behind the Low Wood Hotel Resort in Windermere.
