Baines Wilson LLP has recruited three senior lawyers already this year and has just recruited a fourth namely commercial litigator, Martin Stafford, who joins the Dispute Resolution and Litigation Department as an Associate from national law firm DWF joining Isobel Milburn and Katherine Sibley.
Martin has acted for a variety of large and small businesses in a broad range of contractual, tortious and regulatory disputes. Martin also has substantial public sector experience having acted for a number of local government clients over the years.
Martin has been a solicitor for over 12 years and previously worked in DWF’s Preston and Liverpool offices. Before that Martin worked for Cobbetts in Manchester. Most recently Martin was seconded by DWF to work in-house in the public sector at Merseytravel.
Martin and his wife have two small children who monopolise most of his spare time but in those rare quiet moments that they allow him, he enjoys watching football or cricket.
Martin will be based in the Lancaster office but like all the firm’s lawyers will travel to clients throughout the North West.
“I’m delighted to have joined Baines Wilson and its rapidly growing team based in Lancaster. I’m looking forward to the challenge and especially to working with the firm’s clients throughout Lancashire and Cumbria.”
