Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is announcing the first in a short series of Women in Business events planned over the next year – Talking Success Stories.
Following the success of the panel discussion held on International Women’s Day this March, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce will host the first Women in Business event on 27th May 2021, sponsored by Baines Wilson LLP.
The panel will consist of 5 businesswomen in leading roles across the county and will be asked to talk about the challenges they have faced over the Covid-19 period, how they overcame them and the ultimate successes they have had.
Specific panellists are to be confirmed in due course. The Chamber is planning six events in total.
Suzanne Caldwell, Managing Director of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’re delighted that Baines Wilson LLP will again be sponsoring the Women in Business events and we’re really looking forward to working with them on this. And indeed to the first sponsored event which promises to be both inspirational and informative.”
Joanne Holborn, Partner and Head of Employment Law and Training at Baines Wilson LLP, said: “Baines Wilson LLP are pleased to continue our sponsorship and support of the Women in Business events with the Chamber and are excited for the events coming up throughout the year and in to 2022.
“It will be great to hear from local businesses, large and small, about their success stories and the positives we can take from the last 12 to 18 months and to network with the brilliant businesspeople of Cumbria.”
This session will be held online, however future Women in Business sessions may be held in person dependent on Covid-19 rules.
The event will be free to Chamber members, or £10+vat for non-members. Places on the discussion can be secured through the Chamber website here: https://www.cumbriachamber.co.uk/event/women-in-business-talking-success-stories
