Baines Wilson LLP, the specialist commercial law firm with offices in Carlisle and Lancaster continues growing for the future with the appointment of two newly qualified solicitors who have recently completed training contracts with the firm and has also appointed two trainee solicitors.
Catherine Cross and Harry Colwell who both joined the firm in 2018 have recently qualified as solicitors and have been appointed as assistant solicitors in the Commercial Property and Corporate teams respectively.
Also as part of its ongoing trainee programme, the firm has appointed Adam Yau and Rachel McGaulay as trainee solicitors and has offered training contract positions for its 2021 and 2022 intakes.
Sean Logue Head of Partnership and the firm’s Training Principal said:
“We are delighted to have Catherine and Harry join the business as qualified solicitors. Our young solicitors are the future of the firm and we are committed to developing young talent in our business. Despite the current climate it remains vital for us to ensure our trainee programme continues to offer opportunities to young lawyers.
We wish to demonstrate to young people from this area and other regions that you can have a fantastic career in Cumbria and receive superb training in the county. Two of our current owners of the business trained with the firm which shows our commitment to providing exceptional training and a future career with the business. We have offered positions for our 2021 and 2022 trainee programme already and have opened our application process for 2023.
Providing commercially focused legal services to the business community allows us to offer trainees the type of training which would otherwise only be available in one of the large cities, such as Newcastle or Manchester.
We are passionate about promoting Cumbria as not only a great place to live but a fantastic place to do business and to have a legal career.”
Baines Wilson currently operate a rolling training programme and are currently taking applications for 2023. We also offer opportunities for work placements. If you would like more information visit https://www.baineswilson.co.uk/join-our-team or contact Stephanie Bradley email@example.com.
