The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) has just had an important update (what would Friday afternoons be without a late CJRS change!?!).
From 1 December, employers cannot claim furlough for any days an employee was serving contractual or statutory notice periods. This includes notice of retirement and resignation.
The Government has also confirmed that employers can claim furlough for employees serving statutory notice before 1 December, they have not however, confirmed this for contractual notice periods.
You can find the updated guidance here.
