Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme extended to end of June

HM Treasury has announced that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (furlough) will be extended to the end of June. It was initially due to close on 31 May, although Chancellor Rishi Sunak was clear from the outset that it would be kept under review.

This will likely help businesses who were planning to start 45 day collective consultation for redundancies if contemplating more than 100 redundancies from the start of June. That process can now be delayed.

If you have any queries in relation to furlough leave or any other queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch on 01228 552600 or 01524 548494.
