Caroline Rayner is delighted to join a panel of inspiring women for Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce’s International Women’s Day event on 8 March.
The future is exciting. Let’s build a gender-balanced world.
Everyone has a part to play – all the time, everywhere.
From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects balance. We notice its absence and celebrate its presence.
Balance drives a better working world. Let’s all help create a #BalanceforBetter.
Since some women were first given the vote over 100 years ago, the UK has seen huge changes in women’s roles, but there is still more to achieve.
With the World Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings telling us that gender parity is over 200 years away – there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #BalanceforBetter. This International Women’s Day (March 8) Lancaster and District Chamber is joining 1000’s of organisations across the world to celebrate women’s achievements.
The half-day event at The Royal Kings Arms Hotel, Lancaster will combine a debating session with motivational speakers, workshop and lunch.
But this isn’t just an event for women. We can only continue to create change if men and women work together to improve opportunities for every girl and woman in the UK, so we hope men will also attend this interesting and informative event.
