Intellectual Property Rights – Exploring the legal options, costs and requirements of protecting innovations, inventions and designs
What is this workshop about?
Copyright, trade marks, patents and designs – the core intellectual property (IP) rights – can provide essential protection for your business ideas and assets. Delivered by one of Cumbria’s leading experts, this interactive workshop will provide practical information on the legal IP issues which matter in practice. You will learn how to seize opportunities and maximise value, how to ensure rights are not lost and those created are protected, and to avoid infringing other company’s IP.
The workshop will be delivered by Adam Turley, a solicitor at Baines Wilson, who specialises in all aspects of intellectual property law. Adam assists companies with the protection, registration and enforcement of rights, the creation of brand protection strategies, as well as issues around ownership and commercialisation of intellectual property. Adam can also advise on the impact of Brexit on your IP.
This workshop is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for eligible businesses (see below) and there will be no charge to your business. A light buffet lunch will be provided at the start of the workshop with refreshments during the course of the afternoon.
