Maxine Blake – Consultant & Owner, Parker HR Limited
Maxine originally qualified with a BSc in Applied Chemistry from the University of Central Lancashire in 1997 before moving into the commercial sector. The following 13 years involved the successful management and leadership of various businesses with turnovers to £8.3m whilst studying towards her MBA with the Open University then finally completing her MSc. in Human Resource Management in 2012.
She has led and developed Group HR functions previously for multinational private sector organisations working in both unionised and non-unionised environments within industries including retail, hospitality, logistics, distribution and utilities. She has successfully supported large change programmes and specialises in Employment Law, Diversity, HRD and Strategic Business Partnership. She is passionate about the transition of women into senior/board level positions and has previously mentored individuals for their professional development.

Chris has successfully led a large number of global employee engagement campaigns with some of the world’s leading companies in a wide-variety of business sectors, including Engineering, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Manufacturing, Travel, and Financial Services.
Chris’ passion is to help client organisations achieve their full potential, through the actions of their own better engaged, aligned and motivated workforce. His experience and track-record, allied to his detailed knowledge of best practice, means he is frequently asked to personally coach senior people in client organisations, including Anglo American, AstraZeneca and Virgin.
Chris specialises in helping leaders to deliver clear, concise and compelling communications in all sorts of business settings from one-to-one communication through to presentations to large groups of people, often through storytelling or narrative techniques.

Lucy is a qualified, registered professional coach and facilitator who has been helping organisations develop effective communication and strategy for over 20 years. She specialises in creating the space to think so people can drive and thrive through change. Fascinated by ideas, Lucy helps her clients sort through clutter for simple and pragmatic solutions. She recently authored the study into Coaching in Cumbria.
Her organisation, the Harrison Network, supports organisations facing change to motivate, communicate and collaborate more effectively. They create space to think and learn, then help you work out how to make the changes stick. They develop leaders that inspire, teams that communicate, staff that are engaged and motivated, and cultures that transform. Kim Logan – CEO, ADR Mediation & Training CIC
With a BA in Social Work & Welfare Studies from the University of Central Lancashire, Kim is a NOCN trained mediator with more than a decade of experience in community, family and workplace mediation. Completing her PTTLS training in 2007, Kim also delivers high quality training in mediation skills and conflict management which is approved by the College of Mediators.
Kim is passionate about the benefits of mediation and continues to take an active role as a mediator for ADR.
Tom Scaife – Partner, Baines Wilson LLP
Tom is an Employment Partner at business law firm, Baines Wilson, providing pragmatic advice on HR and day to day employment issues. Tom joined Baines Wilson as a trainee in 2009 having previously worked for a training company in South Cumbria delivering training on a range of legal and business issues. Tom plays an active role in developing and managing employment law training events and workshops on behalf of clients to ensure they get the very best from their employees and achieve their business objectives.
