Key areas of Specialisation
Janett has specialised in Employment work for over six years and her practice extends across the wide range of Employment Law work for an equally wide range of clients throughout the British Isles. She has worked on high profile Court of Appeal cases such as the ‘rolled-up holiday pay’ case of Gridquest and was involved with one of the first cases bought under the religious discrimination regulations.
Janett’s portfolio includes claims in relation to sex discrimination and bonus payments in the city and advising on severance packages for senior level employees and executives. Janett also has significant experience in drafting contracts, severance and service agreements.
Janett enjoys the training and seminar aspects of her role and sees this as an important asset for her clients. In her previous positions she has rolled out workshops and seminars after discussion with clients and companies to ascertain their needs. Sessions have ranged from ‘round the table’ small groups, to workshops with ‘break out’ periods and practical sessions, to presentations to groups of 50 plus and she will continue with her commitments to this aspect of her role here also.
