We are delighted to announce the promotion of Tom Scaife to Associate within our Employment and Training Department.
It’s another promotion within Baines Wilson LLP for Tom, who joined the firm as a trainee in 2009 and qualified in July 2011. During this time, Tom has developed his specialism in dealing with the employment aspects of business sales and acquisitions and also in drafting Directors’ Service Agreements, Contracts and Handbooks and appearing in the Employment Tribunal.
Tom is originally from a training background, which has been of benefit to Baines Wilson’s clients as his delivery of employment training seminars and in-house courses for clients is exceptional.
Tom has developed a strong rapport with clients throughout his time at Baines Wilson. He is recommended in the Chambers Guide 2015 with clients appreciating his attitude to his work, it says: “Tom was very approachable and added an extra value to the case. He went to greater lengths than the scope of the initial retainer and he was very personable as well.”
Joanne Holborn, Head of Employment at Baines Wilson LLP, said: “Tom is an asset to the business and to the Employment and Training Department in particular and it is a pleasure to announce his promotion and the next step in his career with Baines Wilson LLP”
Tom adds: “I am grateful to the partners at Baines Wilson LLP for my promotion. Since qualifying with the firm, I have had the opportunity to work closely with fantastic local, national and international businesses. Being able to advise on complex employment law issues without having to move away from the area is a real plus.”
Away from work, Tom lives in Carlisle follows Formula 1 closely and also plays the odd round of golf.
