She has also advised on a very wide range of contract disputes including claims arising from breach of contract and post termination obligations. She has experience in the projects environment both public and private sector and a practical understanding of project delivery processes.
Isobel also brings considerable experience of representing clients at mediations and settlement meetings and advising on the terms of settlement agreements. Isobel qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and as a Solicitor Advocate in 2006.
“I have been looking for the right opportunity in the North for some time now and in Baines Wilson found a firm with the combination I was seeking; namely a partnership role in a firm with a solid commercial law profile and reputation and an impressive client base.
I’m looking forward to meeting the firm’s clients and helping them resolve their problems where possible without recourse to litigation, unless of course it’s necessary and advisable to do so”.
Baines Wilson Managing Partner, John Wilson adds:
“We are delighted to have been able to appoint a person of Isobel’s calibre to head up this department. It’s taken us time to find the right person for this role but it’s been worth the wait.
Isobel will provide our clients with clear practical, commercial and cost effective advice and I know she will work closely with clients and our other departments to reach appropriate solutions.”
