It’s been an incredibly busy start to the year for our corporate team, with 7 corporate transactions having been completed in the first 6 weeks of the year and another 4 transactions scheduled for completion over the course of the next month.
The completed transactions include the MBO of On Line Systems, the sale of Lakes Biomass to Forest Fuels and the acquisition by Lloyd Motor Group of the Ripon Land Rover business along with the Service Centre at Leyburn, North Yorkshire.
Lloyd Motor Group’s latest acquisition (on which UNW provided tax advice) takes the number of Lloyd Land Rover dealerships to 3 and increases its investment in Northern England and Southern Scotland. With 19 dealerships across Blackpool, Colne, Carlisle, Cockermouth, Kelso, Newcastle and Grange-over-Sands, the group now operates an extensive prestige brand portfolio of Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, MINI, Volvo, Honda, BMW Motorrad and Honda Bikes.
Andrew Hill, head of our corporate team, said: “We are delighted to have worked again with the Lloyd Motor Group on its first acquisition in North Yorkshire. It is always a pleasure to help family-owned businesses with their expansion plans.”
