This workshop has been designed specifically for providers of Health & Social Care services to inform them what they need to do in order to be compliant with the changes in Data Protection Regulations that comes into force on May 25th 2018.
The session will cover how GDPR differs from the Data Protection Act 1998, how it specifically relates to care activities, why care providers will have greater accountability to demonstrate compliance, practical steps that all providers should be taken now, why health records pose a specific challenge and data retention and security.
We will also be busting some of the common myths and misinformation doing the rounds about GDPR!
Delivering this workshop on behalf of One Stop Social will be Joanne Holborn, Tom Scaife and Caroline Rayner of the Employment Law team at Baines Wilson Solicitors, whom are all specialists in this field.
The timings for this workshop are 9.30am (9:15 registration) to 12.30pm
The cost of this workshop is £30 + VAT per delegate to cover venue, refreshment and speaker costs
