Our commercial practice is very varied.  Our clients come from all industry sectors.  Consequently, the range of commercial agreements we are involved with is wide.

Our work varies from extremely complex agreements to the relatively routine.  Whatever the job we aim to handle it cost-effectively and on time.

Approach

We aim to rapidly assess the underlying commercial situation and our client’s objectives and then apply our technical legal skills and commercial “nous”.  In short, we “add value” to the whole process and to play a major role in managing effectively the contractual process.  We don’t just document it.

Lawyers

Our commercial lawyers are all committed to providing pragmatic commercial solutions for our clients.  Yes, we know everyone says this, but we really do this.  Our lawyers’ technical skills are of the highest order and they are committed to working to commercial deadlines.

We also work closely with our Commercial Disputes colleagues, who provide assistance on contractual interpretation as appropriate.  We also have good competition law expertise within our commercial and dispute resolution teams.

International Dimension

Increasingly, this area of work involves us, almost on a daily basis, in international business.  We see this trend continuing as the business world continues its path towards “globalisation”.  This means that our considerable network of tried and trusted lawyers in other countries, who we regularly use for this type of work, will be of even greater importance, to us and our clients.
