Career

Chris qualified in 2004, having joined Baines Wilson in 2002 as the firm’s first trainee solicitor and was promoted to Associate in 2007.

Key areas of Specialisation

Chris acts exclusively for employers including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, entrepreneurs and large Groups.

He is experienced in advising clients through complex employment issues and has particular expertise in advising on drafting employment documentation (including contracts, policies and procedures, Directors' Service Agreements, etc), handling grievance/discipline and dismissal issues, redundancies, ill health, daily telephone advice and representing clients at Employment Tribunals.

Chris has also developed a reputation for his practical advice in dealing with TUPE issues on business acquisitions/disposals.

Chris has experience in employment tribunal advocacy and is experienced in delivering employment seminars as part of the Employment Team’s ongoing commitment to present seminars across the region on a range of Employment issues.
